one of my favorite parts of the breakfast club is after andrew asks allison what her parents do to her like all parents do something awful to their kids even if they’re ultimately alright people and when she says they ignore her he doesn’t look disappointed that she’s not getting abused or something but understands that her problem isn’t something to just shrug off and that some people might have it pretty bad but that doesn’t make her feelings irrelevant
